Marie-Claude Hamelin

As a 3rd year Mechanical Engineering student at Université de Sherbrooke, Marie-Claude is in the co-op program and is heavily involved in a number of student organizations. Before starting her term as CFES Official Languages Commissioner, she served as her Engineering Society’s President of Promotions and VP of Academics.

Through her position in the CFES, she aspires to improve the quality of translations between the Federation’s two official languages. Born in Ottawa area (Gatineau to be exact), she is well accustomed to the challenges that one faces with bilingualism.

When she is not translating documents for the CFES, Marie-Claude enjoys cooking (using an impressive collection of recipe books). When she chooses to be active, she cycles and skis the beautiful slopes of the Eastern Townships.
