Athena is a third year civil engineering student at Concordia University. She became interested in this field of study after a lecture on icebergs at Memorial University in Newfoundland the summer after graduating from high school.
Student involvement has been in her passions since high school and continued on through CEGEP and University. After becoming VP Finance for ECA in 2008, she was inspired to take on the position of VP External for the following year after attending CFES congress in Ottawa in 2009. Since then, she has also competed in the Québec Engineering Competition and then the Canadian Engineering Competition in debates.
Within her mandate, Athena hopes to bridge the gaps between CFES and the smaller schools across Quebec. She also hopes to promote student awareness and involvement in CFES.
In her spare time, Athena enjoys watching sports (especially curling as she played for Équipe Québec and did six provincials in Québec), hanging out with friends and travelling.
