Women in Engineering Task Force has released recommendations

The Women in Engineering Task Force, set up by Engineers Canada, has released a report with their recommendations for both attracting more women into the Engineering Profession and retaining women within the profession. Read more

The International Event on Education 2009 (EoE 2009)

This past month, 11 students from across Canada hopped on a plane to the Czech Republic where they had the amazing opportunity to participate in the first ever Joint Event on Education which was run by CFES and the BEST (Board of European Students of Technology) in Brno, Czech Republic.

Toronto Complementary Education Course 2009

U of T successfully ran the only CFES Complementary Course for 2009 this August. The course, titled Engineering in Sport, had around 50 participants from all over Canada and some from Europe as well. Read more

Nope, it isn't a typo - a group of students across Canada are launching a Nation wide "Engineers Serve the World" campaign to promote all sides of engineering. Engineers are out there right now, around the world, fighting poverty, developing alternatives to fossil fuels, and making the world a better place for everyone. Engineers are doing awesome work for the world -- and hardly anybody knows! Read more
