Some of you may already be considering bidding on NCWIE 2009, if not, there is no time like the present!

A session will be held at CFES Congress outlining the bidding process and answering all your questions about all things NCWIE, so make sure a delegate from your school attends. Information on the bidding process will also be available online, on the Queen’s EngSoc website, at http://engsoc.queensu.ca/society/external-relations/ncwie/ , and on the CFES website.

The tentative deadline for submitting bids is February 1st. Bids will be submitted electronically to the selection panel, who will make their decision by February 7th. The host school will then have several months to make the plan they submitted in the application a reality, as the conference is traditionally held in November.

Hosting NCWIE is a great opportunity for your Engineering Society to run a national event and provide a forum where women (and men) in engineering can discuss issues of importance to them, and work together towards creating solutions.
